The Squire Game
The Squire Game
The Squire Game is a strategic board game born from the clever pastimes of waiting squires. Legend has it that these apprentice knights would carve the game board into tavern tables, scratch it in courtyard sand, or even stitch it onto their traveling cloaks.
What began as a simple way to pass time while knights attended their lordly duties soon evolved into a beloved test of tactical thinking.
How to Play
Each player commands a small force of troops on opposite sides of the board, with one goal: breach your opponent's stronghold
Basic Rules:
- Each turn grants you three orders to move your troops
- Green squares show where your selected troop can move
- Click a troop to select it, then click a valid destination to move
- Win by reaching the triangular stronghold on your opponent's side
Combat Rules:
- To capture an enemy position, you must outnumber them
- Example: Move two of your troops to a zone controlled by one enemy troop to capture it
- Captured troops are removed from the board, but can be recruited again
